Sam was a great GM. I had played the Walking Dead once before and but Sam took the time to go over all the rules, how we as players were to make a skill check and ensured at any point if we had questions... we should ask them. It felt very inclusive as he allowed us to fumble through in the beginning of the game but by the end, we were rolling like pros. Sam used visual aids even though we were playing online, it made a difference!!! The use of terrain / mini's was fantastic. I would happily sit at his table again!! - Mr. Dragonbane

Sam is a wonderful storyteller, fitting your character into the setting and making you feel part of the story. Using tabletop scenes and imagery, he provides amazing visuals for encounters and locations. You won’t need a VTT, just imagination and a sense of adventure. You can even roll your own dice! Sam is a excellent DM-storyteller he always try to work with us as players to make us have the best time. He always seems to make the story pop and to get just a little bit more out of your characters story it seems that you are part of the world just not watching it go by and don't be shy around him if you have questions he be more than happy to help to make your character great thanks Sam. - Jonathan
Had a ton of fun in this game with Sam and the other players. Sam uses actual minis and sets, which adds a nice touch to the game. He has multiple camera angles which makes it work well over zoom. He seems to have a nice blend of role-play and combat and handles all the players well. - Andrew
Sam is a great DM! He is working with actual minis which is a huge plus for me - but on top of that he is great at setting the scene, bringing character to life and making sure, that everyone has a chance to shine. He is also very patient with newer players and does a really good job of explaining aspects of the game. You can really feel that he has a ton of experience. I highly recommend him! - Mike
GM Sam was a blast, especially for my first D&D session in over 7 years! A well crafted way to meld me in with the group that had been playing the campaign for a few weeks already. The group over-all was lots of fun to interact with and I'm really looking forward to our next session. - William
Sam is easily one of the best GMs I have had in my time as a TTRPG player. He has great patience in working with players and teaching them the rules of the games that he runs. He is also one of the DMs in which I have experienced the best melding of visual aids and theater of the mind aspects of TTRPG. He uses an actual tabletop with wonderfully set-up towns and character minis to create the feel of sitting around an authentic table. But he also takes the time to give players agency in the theater of the mind aspects of the game allowing them to describe in detail what their character is doing at the moment. He has created a truly wonderful and immersive TTRPG experience for me that I haven't had since my first forays into these types of games several years ago. I highly recommend giving one of his campaigns a go I assure you that you will have a blast playing your character. - Joseph
I'm so glad I found Sam running Lord of the Rings for DnD 5e. He knows the system very well and is patient guiding us through it without pulling any punches. Games have just the right dark tone, and will go just as deep into the lore as we want to go. This is a great game with a great GM. - Mark
I've been consuming DnD media for the last couple years, but I'm totally brand new to actual play. Sam has been so great in making sure I have the tools I need to play, and spent time explaining rules, rolling, different aspects of the game, and character building. Sam has a detailed setup that he broadcasts during our sessions, which makes the sessions even more interactive. I'm looking forward to working through our campaign and joining Sam on others in the future as I continue to learn! - Charly
Game is super friendly! As someone who's never really joined a campaign online, I think I've found a forever home (at least as long as Sam will DM). The vibe was instantly good between everyone after just one session - going on the 4th session now and I can't wait to get deeper into the story! Solid mix of RP and combat with sweet props. You can definitely feel Sam has a lot of experience and wants to make sure everyone feels included at all times! I would highly recommend any of the sessions but if you see a spot in the Friday game come join us :) - Phil
The game was relaxed and very inmersive. The plot gradually developed and things progressively developed in very intersting way. Loved it! Sam is very patient and considered as a GM and it was a pleasure to play with him. Strongly recomended. - Nacho
